How important it is to study ?

Anand was a poor lad,
which was indeed a pity.
A will to learn he had,
and his maths was indeed wizardly.

Languages especially ancient,
he was comfortable learning.
His spellings were great,
and Geography was outstanding.

A real intelligent kid,
who had a great intelligent quotient.
To teach him a teacher would be proud,
the making of a great man was his potential.

A tailor shop his father had,
wanted his son to join the  trade.
Study books and fees was now matter dead,
son should help  earn family its bread.

Anand sits cross legged on a low table,
and now learns to snip and sew.
Snipping at cloths that he is able.
to make them into wearable clothes you know.

Poor Anand what a life's waste,
as he bravely faces a future unpalatable.
Indeed a matter of a study case,
emotionally blackmailed into  undesirable.

As your clothes he for you fits,
wonder what in his mind he thinks?
Perhaps, that he is really a misfit,
what life has more unpleasant surprises ?

There is hope in every situation,
a kind client one day came by.
Got him admitted in a school open,
to complete his education by and by.

Building dreams into reality

Bright cool moonlight,
my love comes this way.
Please shine your light,
to illuminate his pathway.

Please be around,
to give that  aura of togetherness.
Do not disappear behind a cloud,
that I have to talk in darkness.

This stranger fills my life to the brim,
most precious and most dear.
Meaningless is my life without him,
watch over him if i am not here.

I see him in my dreamland,
where we all go when asleep.
You moonlight in that scene grand,
lights up our pathways in leaps.

There we walked together,
in your cool moonlight.
Building dreams of our future,
in you light bright.

So also tonight,
we meet again in reality,
Our future is bright,
as we chalk our plans for infinity.

Confluence of three rivers( Triveni Sangam)

Sangam is what they call this place,
three rivers come to meet here.
Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati,
all the three rivers here meet.

From where all are these rivers coming?
from many miles they are travelling.
Ganga flows along,
a deeper yamuna comes along.

Gods and the Demons had fought for nectar,
drops of which fell at this confluence.
People come to bathe here,
washing all their sins away here.

Trivani, Prayag or Allahabad are its names,
the place was visited also by Lord Rama.
After 12 years a huge event is held,
the Kumb mela is here organised.

Ganga's water is yellowish,
yamuna's water is bluish.
Ganga's depth is only 4 feet,
and yamuna's depth is 40 feet.

Afterwords  Ganga flows neat and clean,
the yellowish water is left behind.
On little boats from banks of Yamuna,
people come to this place of sangam.

On Triveni are raised platforms,
people bathe here to get rid of their sins.
Seeking entry into heaven,
their life's dirt triveni washes.

Even i had come here,
some years past since.
Did not bathe at Triveni like others,
to Ganga ji, I just did namaskar.

Zindagi hume batati hai yehi

Zindagi hume batati hai yehi,
haar ke baad aati  jeet hee.
Kabhi gum hai, kabhi kushi,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.

Choro baate kismat ki,
hume yeah sikathi hai.
Khud pe barosa karna  hai,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi...

Zindagi hume batati hai yehi,
haar ke baad aati  jeet hee.
Kabhi gum hai, kabhi kushi,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.

Dukh ke aandhere taltae hai,
aur kushi ka aanchal chav deta hai.
Zindagi to sangarsh ka tarika hai,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.

Zindagi hume batati hai yehi,
haar ke baad aati  jeet hee..
Kabhi gum hai, kabhi kushi,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.

Aate jaate hai yehan subhi,
roote  aate hai or jaate bhi.
Chorh jayange yehan apni majudgi,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.

Zindagi hume batati hai yehi,
haar ke baad aati  jeet hee.
Kabhi gum hai, kabhi kushi,
zindagi hume batati hai yehi.
